The Acorn Center was founded and is owned and operated by Chris Casagrande, Heathyr Masewic and Dr. Matthew Masewic. With their years of combined experience in the mental health and substance abuse fields, they are excited for this opportunity to share their knowledge and skills!

Chris Casagrande, MLADC - Clinical Director
Chris has been practicing in the field of substance use disorder for almost 20 years. He has developed a unique style of whole person, non judgmental, Health Realization based therapy and education.  He has worked with thousands of clients to help them realize their innate health, to achieve long term recovery and a deeper more meaningful experience of life.
Chris strongly endorses; innate health, client autonomy, self actualization, and exploration of self and embracing a spiritual path for meaningful lasting change. Chris believes addiction/ as well as all psychological suffering is a product of an individual's unrealized; innate health, potential and value.
Matthew Masewic, MD - Medical Director
Dr. M is a trained Family Practitioner with 20 years of experience. He has been working in the field of substance use disorder, to include detox, counseling, teaching and medication assisted therapy for 3 years. He had previously worked in the mental health field at the NH State Hospital and has spent nearly 10 years learning and trying to understand dual diagnosis and substance use disorder from a more humane perspective.
Dr Masewic’s overall philosophy regarding medication assisted therapy is that medication is not intended to be the answer, but a temporizing measure while the client engages, grows and learns to discover their own answers. He believes that there is a kinder, more compassionate way to support those with substance use disorder
Heathyr (Spain) Masewic, MS - CEO/Pre-licensed MLADC
Heathyr has worked within the fields of mental health and substance use disorders  for over 10 years. In that time, she has been involved in a range of programming with different facilities. Her experience includes the NH State Psychiatric Hospital, the Merrimack County Diversion Program and multiple other behavioral health, dual diagnosis and substance use disorder settings. This not only gives her an incredible breadth of experience, but has played a big role in developing the unique views she has about addiction, personal growth, and human potential.
Heathyr provides care from a deeper understanding of the human experience. She believes in universal consciousness, manifestation and the innate, undiscovered power and potential that we all possess. Heathyr can identify behaviors that create personal barriers and will provide no nonsense counseling, as well as spiritual support and guidance for a more meaningful, whole person, growth experience.
